Week One Journal

Think about your own early childhood experiences, either in preschool or the first few years of elementary school.  Describe at least one positive and one negative experience you had (these could be academic or social).  Explain how they had a lasting impact on you and how they will influence your own teaching approach.
 

Each journal entry is worth two points.  There are no formatting or length requirements for your entry, but it must fully describe your experiences as they relate to course topics, Week One learning outcomes, and course learning outcomes.  
 

Carefully review the Grading Rubric for the criteria that will be used to evaluate your journal entries.
