Assignment Overview:
Here is a step-by-step instructions guide for creating an Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) ePoster using the (c) 2025 Johns Hopkins EBP Model. This guide helps you organize and present your EBP project in a professional poster format for dissemination. Each section corresponds to a part of the poster and aligns with the Johns Hopkins EBP model and publication standards.
Instructions:
- See attached all the forms/appendices required. Use the information gathered to create their EBP Model ePoster.
- Download MDC's Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) attached to place on your Evidence-Based Model ePoster.
- Then, use each form/appendix to complete each section listed below for the EBP ePoster.
- Please review the following example (i.e., Allan et al., n.d.) of a John Hopkins EBP poster before starting your work. Your poster should look similar to the Power Point example attached.
Sections:
Title and Abstract
Review Appendix A: EBP Project Steps and Overview before starting work on your EBP Model ePoster
- Title: Clearly identify the project as evidence-based. Make it concise and informative.
- Abstract: Summarize the project, including:
- Rationale for the EBP project
- EBP question (PICO format)
- Literature search and appraisal methods
- Key findings and synthesis
- Recommendations for practice
Introduction
Use content from Appendix B to complete this section.
- Rationale: Describe the clinical problem, its significance, and the risks of not addressing it.
- Available Knowledge: Summarize current knowledge from literature (local, national, and global).
- EBP Question: Present the question using the PICO format.
Methods
Use content from Appendix B and Appendix C.

- Sentences must be well-structured, concise, and easy to read.

Provides a clear rationale, summarizes available knowledge comprehensively (local, national, global), and states EBP question in correct PICO format.
Thoroughly describes sources, search methods, keywords, screening process, appraisal process, and synthesis/translation steps. All elements are detailed and logically organized.
Clearly reports study selection with accurate counts and flow diagram. Provides detailed study characteristics and findings using tables/charts for clarity.
Synthesizes evidence comprehensively, addresses limitations thoughtfully, and provides clear conclusions linked to the EBP question.
Translation strategies and outcomes are well-defined, feasible, and tailored to the organization. Includes measures for success and implementation results if applicable.
Poster is visually appealing, well-organized, and easy to follow. APA 7th edition formatting is correct throughout. No spelling or grammar errors.
