Purpose

You will analyze a contemporary nursing issue, compare multiple decision-making models, and recommend the most appropriate approach supported by current evidence.

This week's assignment is ONLY your Topic and Outline.

TOPIC: Advanced Practice Nursing # 3-APRN-led chronic disease management clinics.

Step 2: Develop Your Thesis Statement

Write a concise thesis statement that clearly explains:

• the nursing issue
• why it is important
• the decision-making approaches you plan to compare
• your anticipated recommendation

Step 3: Develop Your Outline

Use APA Level Headings.

Your outline should include:

I. Introduction

• Background
• Significance
• Problem Statement
• Thesis Statement

II. Literature Review

• Current evidence
• Cause of the problem
• Impact on nursing practice
• Why this issue is important

III. Decision-Making Models

Identify at least two decision-making models (three models are strongly recommended for your final assignment).

Provide:

• overview of each model
• strengths
• limitations
• current literature support

IV. Application to Nursing Practice

Explain how each model would be applied by:

• Bedside Nurse
• Nurse Manager/Leader
• APRN (NP, CNS, CNO, etc.)

Provide realistic clinical examples.

V. Best Practice Recommendation

Identify which decision-making model appears to be the strongest approach.

Provide your rationale.

VI. Preliminary References

Include five current scholarly references published within the past five years using APA 7 formatting. ( References from 2022-2026)
