Watch a formal debate between public figures about a current social issue (although it should be a real debate, fireside chats do count). In the interest of being super clear....this should NOT be a screaming match type of "talk show debate" or a vacuous "who wore it best" type of entertainment thing.
Write a paragraph or 2 that do the following things:
1. Identify the debate topic, year, participants and where you accessed it (i.e., taped from TV, youtube etc.)
2. Describe one successful persuasive device used and explain why you thought it worked to persuasive.
3. In your opinion, how did the form of mediation (media) impact this debate?
