Over the past few years there has been a number of talks of global economic and trade sanctions on countries.  Sanctions are often results of cultural/social differences, such as human rights, or political/legal differences such as military actions, intellectual property infringement, and country-boarder disputes. The purpose of sanctions is vast; however, a common goal is to influence the behavior of others.   Examples include western sanctions on Venezuela, Russia, Iran and North Korea, and increased tariffs on goods with China.

For your first opening post this week, please select a current event where the political and legal environment is clearly disrupted and uncertain.  What countries are involved?  Briefly summarize the event you have chosen.  Finally,  briefly propose  a possible solution to the differences.
