Discuss avoiding teratogens (before and during pregnancy for father and mother) and why it is essential for the birth of a healthy baby. (50 points)

RUBRIC:  An excellent paper will have at least 5 paragraphs: introduction of topic, explanations of life experience that affects development of sperm and ova, list and describes at least five major teratogens and their effects on the developing embryo, and explains circumstances in which those teratogens will have an impact (since most of us had parents who drank and smoked but we were born fairly 'normal'), and a summary of advice to prospective parents.
