1) One challenge elementary English language arts teachers face is determining how to ask questions and elicit higher order thinking from their young students. With this in mind, explain how Bloom’s taxonomy can be integrated into the elementary English language arts classroom.  How might an understanding of this taxonomy be used to support critical thinking and meaning making?

2)Share the grade level you hope to teach. Offer a literary or informational text you hope to teach at that grade level. Compile a list of 8-10 grade-level appropriate questions that you could use to encourage higher-order thinking when teaching the text. Cite any sources used in your response.
