For your “Complete” assignment, you are to write a 1500 word minimum  COMPREHENSIVE APA analysis paper including knowledge you gained from the Read and Attend resources throughout the course (including Unit 8) to address the questions and statements below. A minimum of four scholarly sources are required, and all sources should be cited and referenced in APA format.  Do not self-plagiarize from the previous weeks.

· Research  Terry v. Ohio, 392 U.S. 1 (1968). What are the ethical and legal ramifications of the ruling? Describe situations where this ruling has been questioned. Discuss three strategies recently developed to help regulate the discretionary powers of officers during stop and frisk and related actions. Explain the strengths and weaknesses of all three strategies.

· Explain how the war on drugs has impacted the criminal justice system. What are the arguments against the war on drugs?

· Is there any place for retribution in peacemaking criminology? Explain your position.

· Explain how the principles of due process, the ban on cruel and unusual punishment, and other current feature of the U.S. criminal justice system are essential to a high-functioning democratic republic.

· Robin West (1997) argues that the criminal justice system must not only seek justice, but must also show compassion and care. Should hardened criminals who have committed violent crimes be shown the same compassion and care as a non-violent offender? Explain your reasoning.
