 When we are conducting a hypothesis test, we need to consider the alpha level, or significance level, of the test. For example, a 95% confidence level means that we are testing at a significance level of .05. At .05, we are willing to accept a 5% chance of committing a type one error--rejecting the null hypothesis when the null hypothesis is true. In conducting our test, we consider the p level. What is the p level of a test. What should it be (at a .05 significance level) in order to reject the null hypothesis?
