Several of the Master of Health Administration Board of Director members have expressed interest in student knowledge of Tableau.  For an introduction, please click on the link below and watch the video.  If you wish to download a trial version of the software and follow the steps, great!!  At minimum, watch the video and consider applications in healthcare.

Download Tableau Public at https://public.tableau.com/en-us/s/download (Links to an external site.)

Open the app and click on “overview” and then “sample data.”

Scroll down to the “health” databases.  These may include ones on tuberculosis and global burden of disease, for example.  You can also click on "data sources" and connect to data from sites such as the World Health Organization.  Save the file.

Open a file and create a graph.  An example is attached.

Discuss the applications of Tableau in the healthcare workplace.  Attach your graph to your post in some way.
