Do a research on being a detective

 

 Pick a profession or field in Criminal Justice that interests you.  I want you to thoroughly research that career. The paper should be 3-4 pages 12pt font, Times New Roman, using APA format (an abstract and headers are not necessary).  All papers must be uploaded into Blackboard and will be checked for plagiarism.  The assignment is due November 27th by 11:59 pm.Once you decide on a profession/career that you may be interested in Criminal Justice research all aspects of that career to include (required) but not limited to:

• Introduce the field and why it is an important part of the criminal justice system.
• What are the roles and responsibilities of this profession?
• Why does this area of criminal justice interest you?
• What are the basic requirements for employment (ex. Age, education, physicality, required security clearance, etc.).
• Be sure to explain the salary ranges and benefits offered to those that are employed in this area including retirement benefits.
• What opportunities do you have for growth and promotion?
• What might disqualify you from employment? For example, in policing, if you have a domestic violence conviction you cannot carry or possess a firearm, thus disqualifying those convicted from employment.
• What are some stressors that someone in this position might face and how might this impact your family dynamics?
