Death Penalty Debate Statement:  In this week's forum, students will provide their final statement for or against the use of the death penalty in the US criminal justice system.  Remember, this statement should be designed to convince those 'on the fence' or even those who disagree with your views, not reinforce the views of those who already agree with you.  When citing statistics and/or homicide rates as well as the work and views of others, you should provide links to cited information.  The minimum length of your persuasive discussion should be the equivalent of one single-spaced, 12 font, Microsoft Word page.  There is no maximum length to the assignment.
