Prior to beginning work on this discussion, please read On-line Dispatching Rules for Vehicle-Based Internal Transportation Systems. Consider how you schedule and complete job assignments, either at your place of employment or at your ideal job, and answer the following questions. Which dispatch rule do you normally use when deciding which job to do next (or the order of completing assigned tasks)? What if you changed your dispatch rule? Would doing so alter the way you complete work and improve your performance? Prior to the discussion, read Chapters 9 and Chapter 10 in your course text.
