The health care industry is massive and supports both clinical and business professions as well as consumers and their families; therefore, it’s important to stay current on events within your career. Each week you will be provided with a health care topic that will allow you to research what is currently happening or what might be on the horizon for that topic.

Wk 2 Current Events Topic: Where Can You Receive Care?

Research facilities and clinics where you can receive care. Think about the services they offer and the types of patients they see. Consider the following as you complete your research:

• Retail health clinics
• Ambulatory centers
• Long-term care facilities (consider different populations who need long-term care services)
• Walk-in clinics
• Hospital
