Discussion: The Good Samaritan

profilevasavip13

The parable of the Good Samaritan is one that is unique and, most importantly, makes us think about two different questions. The first question is simple; what must one do to inherit eternal life? As one reads the parable, it is very simple that one must love God with all their heart and must love their neighbor as their self. This leads to the second question; who is my neighbor? The answer is everyone, anyone with whom you come in contact is your neighbor, people we work with, people we socialize with, and people we do not agree with; they all are our neighbors. How we care for people shows our relationship with God, and He has called us to a place of caring for each other no matter our culture, our ethnicity, or even our religion. We must love God with all our heart and love our neighbor as ourselves.
