 In July of this year, South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster allocated $32 million dollars of federal funds for COVID 19 aid to private schools. This created a major uproar between individuals from various classes across the state. Since the release of this story, the South Carolina Supreme Court ruled against this action stating that the use of public funds at religious and private education institutions violates the South Carolina Constitution.
