Discussion- Reading Nonfiction And Expository Text

  

Two paragraphs with at least 100 words per paragraph explaining the following which should include a reference for each individual paragraph.

1. Explain why it is important for students to be able to conduct research and determine the relevance, credibility, and bias of internet resources. Explain why this type of research and reading is important in the academic environment, as a life skill, and in the workplace. Provide real-world examples to illustrate your ideas.

2. Identify the grade level you are most interested in teaching and create a list of essential qualities for grade appropriate nonfiction and expository text. Describe two appropriate learning activities for the grade level, one for each type of text, focused on specific reading skills. Include discussion of formal and informal assessments that could be associated with each activity.
