Question 1:  In 250-300 words, analyze Immanuel Kant's "What is Enlightenment?" (http://www.columbia.edu/acis/ets/CCREAD/etscc/kant.htmllink) a  product of its times. Why were Kant's ideas considered radical at this  moment? Why might they be considered dangerous? Use specific historical  examples to provide context and at least one quotation (with  parenthetical citation) to make your point.
 

Question 2:   In 250-300 words, analyze what the Akan Drum (https://www.google.com/culturalinstitute/beta/asset/akan-drum/cwF6qqtVCG7HDg?hl=en)  tells us about the effects of slavery on African peoples and peoples of  African descent. For instance, it might tell us how slaves resisted  efforts to dehumanize them.
