Discussion questions

Question 1: Social identities manifest themselves in several ways. A social identity that is shared amongst this group is that you currently go to a specific university. This is usually a strong identity for some and leads to certain attitudes and behaviors. This is especially true at sporting events when your university is playing your "rival". Why do you think students at your school assume that students at the other school have a number of negative qualities? Why do they love to heckle the other fans/students at sporting events?
