DQ 1: Explain the importance of setting both behavioral and academic expectations for students in the classroom. How does clearly stating expectations set the tone for the school year and classroom environment?

DQ 2: What are some of the ways teachers might inadvertently display bias in a culturally diverse, inclusive classroom? What can the result of this inadvertent bias be for students? What are some things teachers can do to overcome bias and assumptions, and address the needs of individual students to help them succeed in the classroom?
