Discussion Questions

DQ 1: In any given classroom, you will have students with varying levels of mathematical understanding and skill mastery, as well as students with exceptionalities. How do you generate questions for your students that account for these various levels in a whole class situation? Select a grade level and provide at least two examples of such questions.

DQ 2: What is the difference between understanding math functions and memorizing basic math facts? Is one approach better than the other when it comes to helping students master their math facts?
