Hey class,

My goal was to be a better public speaker for the possible speeches that I may have to give in the navy. I feel more confident when preparing for a speech and when actually giving the speech. This should translate perfectly for the situations on the ship when i am asked to give a presentation. My new goal is to teach others what i have learned from this class and help them to better prepare for their own public speeches. In the navy, we believe in passing on everything that we learn to strengthen us as a unit.

‘The best advice that i could give to a COM201 student is to be confident and use the outline to your advantage. The outlines can simplify your speech while also allowing you to add more detail and organize your thoughts. Also, if you need help, do not be afraid to reach out and ask for assistance.
