Chapter 2 discussed downsizing in the context of companies needing to "do more with less" in order to compete. However, downsizing can have a serious negative effect on employee morale. This is tough, because if you are trying to do "more with less", you need motivated employees. What would you do as a supervisor to try to foster morale after a big lay off?
