2. Despite the 1954 U.S. Supreme Court decision that segregated school systems are inherently unequal, integration of the nation's schools remains an elusive goal. Most schools have either a majority of African American or Hispanic pupils or virtually none. What are some of the causes of today's segregated schools? How could this kind of segregation be reduced?
