After completing the readings, watching the videos in Unit 3, and further researching the topic, post a two-paragraph response to the following: 

• Dreams are thought to represent underlying desires, fears, concerns, and failures. Many people can recall their dreams upon waking, while others don't remember their dreams.
  • If you remember your dreams: do you notice any common themes in your dreams? How might a psychologist analyze the dreams that you typically have or have had recently?
  • If you don't remember your dreams: why do you think you don't remember your dreams based on your knowledge of the sleep stages and REM sleep? Is there anything you're able to do to help you remember your dreams?
• Several states have legalized the use of cannabis (marijuana) for medical purposes. Cannabis is still illegal under federal law. Several physicians' organizations have proposed that federal regulation and funding guidelines be changed to allow for the study of the benefits and risks of medical marijuana. Do you think cannabis should be available for medical use and experimentation? Why or why not?
