 How would you describe the impact of Capote's techniques of switching between descriptions of the perpetrators,  the descriptions of the victims,  and the descriptions of the town and townspeople?  Do the contrasts affect your response to the novel or interpretation of the novel?  It was a real murder of a family:  does it matter what the town and townspeople were like? Be sure to include examples of what you mean and include the in-text  (parenthetical) citations.
