Please consider how the Burgess & Baym book on Twitter is focusing on how perceived platform affordances both enable and constrain certain types of practices on Twitter, setting the parameters of what is permissable, profitable, popular, provocative, political about people's usage. How do Twitter's perceived affordances compare with those of YouTube's? You can find a definition of affordances in the notes as well as at the beginning of last class' video recording.
