Discussion I: Critically Reading Literature
Shirley Jackson writes in "The Lottery:" The black box grew shabbier each year: by now it was no longer completely black but splintered badly along one side to show the original wood color, and in some places faded or stained. In a detailed 5-7 sentence paragraph, analyze what the black box symbolizes. Respond to at least two classmates' posts. You must post your paragraph before responding.
