In this Module, we are learning about medical malpractice, which has been a much aligned area of the law because of the perceived expense and stress on the healthcare industry.  From a public policy standpoint what advantages might a robust malpractice atmosphere provide to the health care system?  What might the disadvantages be? 

What are your impressions of U.S. medical malpractice law? Does it seem fair and even-handed?
