Good evening everyone,

At my previous job when I became full time staff I became a part of the union. I am grateful for them because my local representative helped me when my company tried to lay me off while I was on maternity leave. they were having pay cuts at my location and decided to take my position away. My representative helped me to keep my job title and pay. the only thing was I transferred to another location.
Sometimes you hear horror stories about unions not really helping their members. Unions are just like health insurance you do not use it daily but it is available as needed.
