Please answer the following questions in reference to Chapter 3. Each question should have a separate response in paragraph format (5-7 sentences).  DO NOT complete one long run-on paragraph while answering the discussion questions.

1. Discuss ways that you have privilege and ways that you lack privilege on the basis of your race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, physical or mental ability, or class. How has your experience with privilege affected your life?

2. Why might members of nondominant groups prefer to live as separately as possible from mainstream society? Should social workers support this goal? Why or why not?
