You have seen a number of examples of emerging technologies that impact the way in which public safety professionals of the future perform their jobs. Think of something that you currently use in your profession that was not always available. Investigate how this piece of equipment, procedure or process evolved from someone’s idea to a part of everyday practice in your field. Cite examples of the research and development process and present your findings to your colleagues.
