Hello Everyone,

My name is Renée, and I am pursuing a Master's in organizational leadership.  I reside in southern Ohio, providing care for my mother, who had a stroke in 2017. 

Qualitative factors that may guide a leader to do something other than what the quantitative analysis suggests should be done.  The current pandemic is a perfect example of qualitative versus quantitative.   The quantitative data shows positive cases, the number of recoveries, and deaths.  The quantitative data would give a better forecast of possible outcomes, i.e., have we peaked, are we in decline, or the number of actual deaths due to the virus, if more people were tested.  More testing is needed based on the U.S. population. Screening more of the people would provide more accuracy that would allow leadership to make decisions and provide enhanced projections.  Furthermore, the distrust of current data on the virus is allowing some leaders to focus on the qualitative data, i.e., morale, community, and other factors that cannot be measured.
