Overview

The purpose of this discussion board is to provide your analysis of organizational culture and the implications for employee behavior. 

Directions

Your Initial Post is due by Sunday 11:59 PM:

1. Read Chapters 10 and 11
2. We are shifting our focus from individual choices to organizational culture. As you know, organizational culture has important implications for employee behavior. Many times, organizational culture is the enabler to unethical behavior. Your textbook talks about “five major approaches to leadership and management that elevate the ethical climate in public organizations” (Svara, 2022, pg. 167). Please talk about the five major approaches (listed below) and how well or not your organization, an organization you have worked for, or an organization you have read about, is elevating the ethical climate. Please re-list the five points in your discussion board posting and write a minimum of two sentences for each point. 
   • Strong organization and management culture
   • Clear expectations, effective training, and mechanisms for control
   • Positive management practices
   • Channels for complaints and values that encourage dissent
   • Commitment to equity and involvement in dealings with the public
