The number of homeschooled children has increased dramatically over the past decade. According to the National Home Education Research Institute, there are currently more than two million homeschooled students in the United States, and the numbers are growing at a rate of 5–12% each year (NHERI.org). Why do you think that the homeschool movement is growing so rapidly? Should parents who choose to homeschool (or send their children to private school) have to pay taxes toward public education? Explain.
