Discussion Board

Last week we discussed the multiple goals of sentencing. Your post last week demonstrated your opinion of what goal was most important and the benefits of that goal. These goals also have drawbacks and ethical considerations that impact the philosophy of sentencing. Your post should identify which goal you selected and at least two drawbacks and/or ethical considerations of that goal. In your response post, reply to a student who selected a goal or drawbacks other than yours. Include a discussion of how the drawbacks or ethical considerations could be resolved.
