NEEDS TO BE DONE 3/21 MIDNIGHT

• read the assigned reading for this week - Harper and Leicht, chapter 6, "Economics, Politics and the American Prospect" (p.106 -132). This reading might be a bit difficult at times, so take your time going through it.
• watch the "Wealth Inequality in the US" video.
• participate in the weekly discussion board question: "On the last pages of the chapter (p.130), authors post a few different scenarios of what might happen in the future (and those scenarios relate to the changes in politics and economy that was discussed in the chapter). Which of these scenarios do you think is most likely to happen? Which of them would you like to see happen? Explain your answer."  
• post a reply in your weekly blog to the following statement: "After watching the 'Wealth Inequality in America' video think about the similarities between this video and the one you watched not too long ago (TED Talks presentation from Richard Wilkinson on "how economic inequality harms societies. Can we, ordinary people (not the 1%), still reach the 'American Dream'? And why is there such a disparity between the real levels of economic inequality and our perception of it? What do you think? Explain your answer.
