Discussion 8

Kezar and many others argue that change is essential for the success of higher education today; however, most change efforts do not succeed. She notes in the preface mistakes that leaders make that result in failed change efforts. Do you agree or disagree with Kezar that change is essential for success in higher education today? If so, why? How will the common mistakes she mentions be addressed in your final project? If the mistakes are common, why are they continually repeated? Assess why leaders and change agents sometimes fail and sometimes succeed and consider how external challenges influence outcomes.
