In considering your readings for this week (Chapters 56-63 of the Handbook for Child Protection Practice & Chapter 9 of Child Protection: Using Research to Improve Policy), answer the following questions.

Under what circumstances would you consider permanency placement over reunification?  Are there times when you feel reunification is more detrimental to a child's well-being.  Provided an example if you have encountered this.  Also, what assessments would you utilize to determine the best option?
