Takes viewers through the past 30 years, with a second wave of Cubans arriving in Miami during the Mariel exodus and with hundreds of thousands Salvadorans, Nicaraguans and Guatemalans fleeing civil wars, death squads and unrest to go north into a new land — transforming the United States along the way. (Links to an external site.)

1. Give a summary of the documentary: who? what? when? where? (20%) 
2. Give your critical and personal reaction to the documentary. (20%) 
3. Discuss the struggle for and against bilingualism in Miami and California. What were the main issues involved? Who were the main pro- and antagonists? Back up your argument with examples. (20%)
