Purpose

This assignment is intended to help you learn to do the following:

· Describe their responsibilities related to the handling of data as it pertains to legal, ethical and/or agency auditing issues

· Describe how the type of legal dispute (civil, criminal, private) affects the evidence used to resolve it.

Action Items

1. create a post with a minimum 350 words that share the following:

· Evidence preservation is critical in digital forensics. Discuss the goal of evidence preservation and elaborate on some of the challenges that forensic experts face in trying to preserve evidence.

· Research the library or the web for an example of a case or story where poor preservation of evidence compromised a legal case. Share highlights of how this happened, and how it could have been prevented.
