   • If it was successful: select 1 of       the 5 human resource management functions (covered in Week 1). Identify       how the local culture and customs might affect the way in which the       function is performed in that market.
      
   •  five core functions: staffing, development, compensation, safety and health, and employee and labor relations. Within each of these core functions, HR conducts a wide variety of activities.
