 Local Sustainability Initiative (based on UCertify section 9.5)

Research an environmental problem happening in Florida, or your local area. Your post this week should propose two potential solutions or projects to meet that problem (or find projects already underway to meet it), and compare and contrast the solutions' virtues and viability in terms of the three kinds of sustainability: environmental, economic, and social. Make sure to reflect on each solution's community impact. Examples of intersecting issues from this lesson that you might explore in the paper include income disparities, gender or racial inequities, sustainable economic development, and religious obligations. Respond to your classmates' postings comparing and contrasting the environmental problems and projects they have chosen with the ones you have chosen.   1 page
