Discussion

Purpose

Discussions promote dialogue between faculty, students, and students and their peers. In the discussions, students should:

• Support responses with current literature
• Reflect depth, critical insight, and a paradigm shift in thinking

Course Outcomes

This discussion provides documentation of the student's ability to meet the following course outcomes:

• CO 1: Explain the policy-making process and how this affects laws and legal processes. (POs 1, 7)

Discussion Prompt

Select a health issue of interest and apply the process of policymaking from the identification of the problem to policy implementation in the context of that health issue. You will use this same health issue for assignments throughout the session.
