The video lecture this week discussed how stories and poems about war have both celebrated and criticized the role war has played in human history and in the lives of people who have been asked to fight them.
Your job is to pick a literary text (novel, short story, film, tv show, poem or song) about war and discuss what the text's message is to the audience.
Make sure you explain which war the text focuses on and what, specifically, it celebrates or criticizes about that conflict.
Make sure your answer uses brief quotations or (in the case of film/tv show) paraphrases from the text to back up your interpretation of its message.
