Cardiovascular disease is a major disease process that affects many individuals. According to the American Heart Association, it accounts for 801,000 deaths per year in the US (American Heart Association, 2016).

Instructions:

• Research different diagnostic tests that are used to measure the health of the cardiovascular system. Select one of the diagnostic tests as the focus of the discussion. Try to pick a test that is unique from your peers.
• Discuss the diagnostic test, including:
  • An explanation of the procedure.
  • Explain the relevant anatomy and physiology that the test evaluates.
  • Give an example of a disease that is diagnosed or monitored by the procedure. Give a brief description of your disease.
