Dear students,
Some Native American tribes enslaved Africans. Some of these Africans accompanied 46,000 Native Americans, members of the 5 Tribes, who had been forced to leave their lands by the U.S. Government with The Indian Removal Act of 1830; they walked 1000 miles to the modern-day state of Oklahoma: https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smithsonian-institution/how-native-american-slaveholders-complicate-trail-tears-narrative-180968339/
