Before participating in this week’s Discussion Board, refer to the portrait of Augustus Primaporta and other images of Roman emperors in your textbook. Can you see any similarity in how present day leaders are immortalized in art? Find a portrait of a current world leader and post it here. How do you think your selection immortalizes the leader? Which of your classmates do you feel has presented an interesting image of a world leader? Remember, the image does not have to be an official portrait. Sometimes, the best way to really “see” a someone is when they are not expecting their image to be captured!
