A standardized or global product is very difficult to come up with in a multi-cultural world. A true "global" product is one that is the same everywhere and all people want the exact same thing.

An "international" approach, however, sees that products and services must be adapted or customized to each culture.

Which strategy would you prefer from just a cost standpoint?

What approach would you take to the Chinese soft drink market?
