READ about Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Title II of the ADA, and information about auxiliary aids and services available to students at “Auxiliary Aids and Services for Postsecondary Students with Disabilities” at the U.S. Department of Education website.
Imagine you are an academic advisor with a student who has a disability. Research the cost of obtaining 2 different types of auxiliary aids for this student and prepare a proposal/request for purchase for your supervisor. Your proposal should contain an explanation of what the two auxiliary aids do and how they solve a problem, accompanied by your findings on the cost associated with those aids.
